Design, implement, debug, and refine new development, server operations, and end-user tools as needed, collaborating closely with our game designers, content developers, artists, technical artists and game programmers
Maintain and improve existing tools
Develop game logic / UI or game systems technology as needed between tool assignments
Participate in game tech and architecture decisions that impact the tool suite, and help to define and document the technical needs of internal and external customers
Integrate into the Redbana US Corporation work environment and group dynamic, working and communicating effectively with the team
3-5 years game industry experience
2-3 years of user interface or tool programming in C#
2-3 years of C++ programming for commercial PC games or for an organized PC game mod team
1-2 years of network and database tool programming in Java and SQL
Programming, tool development, technical artist, or quality assurance credits on a shipped game title
Experience creating plug-ins for at least two of: 3D Studio Max; Maya C++ API; Maya MEL scripting; Photoshop
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures in game, simulation, database and distributed systems development
Expertise with OOA / OOD / OOP principles, common design patterns, debugging, use of 3rd party APIs, and how to document code
Dedication to secure, robust development and design with on-time delivery
Team player with sustained positive and professional attitude
BS or MS in CS, CE, EE, IS, math, physics, or equivalent experience
Works full time on-premises at our location in San Francisco, California
Authorized to work in the United States
   
Able to communicate effectively with the development team both in written and in spoken English
Previous MMOG development experience
Experience with development using some or all of: Actor systems; Design patterns; Accounting
systems; ACE; Boost; Tcl; Lua; Python; JavaScript; XUL; XML; JDBC; STL; C++ with templates; ODBC; Granny 3D
User-level experience with some or all of: 3D Studio MAX; Biped; Maya 3D; SOFTIMAGE|CAT; Photoshop; Visio; JIRA; Microsoft Project; Microsoft Office; MSN Messenger
Korean language proficiency (in addition to English)
